Building Fairwood's future together
The town of Fairwood, a community defined by its rolling hills and century-old farms, stands at a crossroads. Veridian Capital Group, a global investment and development firm with local roots, has returned with a monumental proposal: The Veridian Gateway. This project would transform a sprawling piece of heritage farmland into a state-of-the-art tech campus and commercial complex, promising high-paying jobs and a revitalized economy.
However, the proposal has stoked deep anxieties about the loss of Fairwood's agricultural heritage, the displacement of local merchants, and the erosion of the town's unique identity.
Recognizing that a simple yes/no vote would leave half the community resentful, Mayor Isabelle Rodriguez has taken a bold and unconventional step: invite all parties to participate in a facilitated workshop: The Fairwood Collaborative.
This is an exercise in professional collaboration. The central challenge is for participants, representing diverse and conflicting interests, to move beyond opposition and co-create a singular, holistically beneficial outcome. The goal is not to win a debate, but to demonstrate the power of collaborative problem-solving to build a better future.
You have been invited to participate as a key stakeholder in this collaborative. Your mission is not to argue, but to co-create. Together, you will transform Veridian's initial proposal into a new, unified plan called "Fairwood Forward."
This new plan must achieve three core objectives:
Upon arrival at the event, you will receive a confidential briefing detailing the specific role you will play in this process. You will become a key figure in the story, with your own perspective, motivations, and goals.
The future of Fairwood will be determined not by conflict, but by the professional skill of its citizens to set aside differences and collaborate on a shared vision. The choice is no longer if the town will change, but how it will grow together.
Local farmers, merchants, and community members who have deep roots in Fairwood and want to preserve the town's character while ensuring its prosperity.
Veridian Capital Group representatives and their allies who believe the Gateway project will bring economic growth and opportunity to Fairwood.
